Whakatipu Waimāori Kōhanga Reo is a nurturing space where tamariki  are immersed in te reo Māori  and tikanga  from an early age.

Our kaupapa is about fostering a deep connection to our culture, our language, and each other

—laying strong foundations for future generations.

Our Commitment to Te Reo Māori

Nurturing Our Future Through Language

and Culture

Kōrero Māori i ia rā, hei whakatinana i ngā tikanga o te marae i roto i ā tātou ahi katoa, ā, hei hāpai i te mana o te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.

At Te Kōhanga Reo o Whakatipu Waimāori, we are dedicated to speaking te reo Māori every day. Our mission is to embed the tikanga of the marae into all aspects of our work, ensuring that the mana of te reo Māori and its customs are upheld.

We believe that language is the foundation of culture, and by prioritising te reo Māori, we empower our tamariki to connect deeply with their whakapapa.
